(L-R) DSWD Secretary Rolando Bautista and broadcaster Erwin Tulfo

The Philippine Military Academy Alumni Association Incorporated (PMAAI) has called out broadcaster Erwin Tulfo for his remarks against Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rolando Bautista.
According to PMAAI President PCol. Arthur Bisnar, they are hurt by Tulfo’s ‘degrading’ remarks against a former official of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
Bisnar said that even though they have accepted Tulfo’s apology, this is not a sufficient reason not to file a case against him.
“Iyong apology ni Mr. Tulfo that’s not enough kasi nga ang affected doon iyong pamilya niya to include ang lahat ng relatives niya so ang nagre-react pa lang ngayon ay ang PNP, (Mr. Tulfo’s apology is not enough because [Bautista’s family] is affected, including all relatives) I understand iyong ranger they are making a manifesto right now sa social media, they are in full support of our DSWD secretary,” he said.
Bisnar added that they will also file a complaint with the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) and the National Press Club for Tulfo’s actions.
On May 27, Tulfo reportedly called Sec. Bautista “buang” or crazy during his radio program. - (with reports from Lea Ylagan)
